Looking To The Future

Last week, Gidget showed me some shopping cart software she is interested in using on Buttercup Mercantile. It's called Ashop commerce.

Tonight, I finally found time to look it over, and I am quite impressed. When we owned our local ISP ten years ago we were using software we had to lease. Boy we got roped into that deal. We were anoutlandish fee each month (for four years) on top of all of the regular merchant fees, just for the privilege of using their software. It was no picnic that's for sure.

Ashop commerce is awesome. They have a free ten day trial, so I started testing it immediately and I can already tell it's a winner. It integrates with all major banks, and third party processors, including PayPal, and it's definitely affordable. Starting at $39.95 per month, I can see Gidget using it at Buttercup Mercantile.

Of course, the final decision is up to her, but as her "technical advisor", I think it's a perfect solution for her needs.
