The cloture vote on the Amnesty Bill failed

A majority of the U.S. Senate voted not to move forward with the bill. A majority.
All morning long I heard supporters of the bill squawk about how 40 people could dictate the direction of the Senate. Well, this time, the majority dictated that the bill should die.
