The editors of the National Review have challenged the editors of the Wall Street Journal to a debate on the immigration bill, and it appears the WSJ editors have accepted the challenge.
Keep calling your Senators. Keep calling the RNC. It's working.
To refresh your memory…
National Republican Senatorial Committee (202) 675-6000
Republican National Committee (202) 863-8500 (option 1)
John Hawkins explains why the senate Amnesty Bill would be an unmitigated disaster for America.
Hugh Hewitt reminds politicians in D.C. that it is the GOP faithful who don't want it, nor anything like it.
More than 638,000 people have signed the petition at grassfire.org. Make sure you sign it before Monday.
Polipundit links to proof that Saxby Chambliss should be very nervous right about now.
Protestors send a message to Trent Lott.

Peggy Noonan says it's time to let go. I agree. I let go roughly 10 years ago.
President Bush says the fight over immigration reform is a personal one. Wake up, you arrogant ass. It's not personal. It's a matter of national security. I can't believe you're being such an idiot.
La Shawn Barber also says George W. Bush is an idiot.
Jeb Bush proves he is just as stupid as his brother. He and Ken Mehlman support the immigration compromise. Big shock, huh?
It strengthens our national defense.
We still won't know who is here, because those who don't want to pay the fines, or those who are here to commit crimes are not going to come forward. We still won't be able to stop those who come here illegally. So how does this "strengthen" our national defense?
It makes our economy more competitive and flexible.
Huh? How? These people are already here. These people are already spending money in the United States. They are already taxing our overloaded health system. How is letting them stay going to make our economy more competitive and flexible?
It enhances the rule of law and promotes national unity.
Sure it does. If you're a citizen of Mexico. National unity? Are these two on crack or something?
And it also does these things in a fair, practical way.
What's fair? Thousands of people are legitimately trying to enter this country. What's fair about putting all of the people here on a "fast track" to citizenship when they have been breaking the law all these years? If you want to talk practical, let's start enforcing our current laws. Let's start completing the tasks we were already promised in previous legislation.
Jeb Bush and Ken Mehlman are full of it. Plain and simple. Their statement consists of nothing but the same talking points that the President has used in every speech since the announcement of the "great compromise". If this compromise is so wonderful, why do they keep saying the same thing over and over again? Can they not think of anything new to say about this wonderful piece of legislation?
You would think, that Ken Mehlman, the former RNC chairman, and Jeb Bush, the President's brother, and possible candidate in the future, would know how to spell the name of Republicans involved in the compromise.
By putting border security first, this immigration reform adds a provision that many Republicans suggested last year. It adopts the "trigger" mechanism suggested by Sen. Johnny Isaacson, a Georgia Republican.
That's Isakson guys. I.S.A.K.S.O.N. If you have trouble in the future you can check out the Senate website. They are very efficient at spelling the names of our Senators.
Doing nothing is not an option.
I agree. Finally. After reading the entire article, I actually agree with the last line.
We can't sit back and do nothing. We must contact our Senators and stop them from passing this horrible legislation.
