Bill Kristol opposes the immigration compromise.

Lawmakers are feeling the heat. (Polipundit)

    Jon Kyl is a liar.

It seems Senators Chambliss and Isakson don’t appreciate people listening in on their “private” calls to georgia state Republican lawmakers while they discuss the amnesty bill.

Kevin Ecker outlines some pro-amnesty playground tactics.

Peggy Noonan says we should stop, slow down, and absorb. She also says we should close our borders.

Michael Barone reminds us that the Kennedy-Kyl bill is built on the assumption that the federal government can effectively channel the flow of immigration.

    Thomas Sowell reminds us,

Whether these requirements are “tough” or not, and regardless of how they are enforced or not, there is nothing to say that the 12 million people here illegally have to start the process of becoming citizens.

President Bush no longer understands “what’s right for America“.

Our Senators may be enjoying some time off, relaxing with their families, but we need to remain vigilant. Make sure you contact your Senator today, whether by phone, email, or fax, and let them know just what IS right for America.

    1. “Michael Barone reminds us that the Kennedy-Kyl bill is built on the assumption that the federal government can effectively channel the flow of immigration.”

Hugh Hewitt has also extensively blogged on the triggers, which Krauthammer today eloquently dismisses as fantasy.
