Amnesty Bill Roundup

Redstate has an excellent piece about the myths vs. the facts on the immigration bill.
John Hawkins has information on two new Rassmussen polls.
Kevin Ecker defines Amnesty for those who don't really know what it means.
Polipundit informs us that John Boehner thinks the immigration bill is a piece of shit.
On the other side,
Dick Morris, in his infinite wisdom, thinks Republicans should support the immigration compromise.
But Morris is wrong.
You see, in order to agree with his position you have to assume that Hispanics support this immigration bill, which may not be the case.
Many labor unions say that would depress wages and create a class of workers with no job rights. Business groups call the leave-and-return element unworkable. Hispanic advocacy organizations and religious groups say it unfairly denies workers the chance to stay in the U.S. and ultimately gain citizenship.
Even Hispanics know this bill is no good. It's no good for immigrants, it's no good for the illegal immigrants already here, and it's definitely not good for America.
Yesterday, 64 Senators voted to keep the temporary worker program provision in the immigration bill. They were,
Alabama: Sessions (R), Shelby (R)
Alaska: Murkowski (R), Stevens (R)
Arizona: Kyl (R)
Arkansas: Lincoln (D), Pryor (D)
California: Feinstein (D)
Colorado: Allard (R), Salazar (D)

Massachusetts: Kennedy (D), Kerry (D)
Minnesota: Coleman (R), Klobuchar (D)
Mississippi: Cochran (R), Lott (R)
Missouri: Bond (R)
Nebraska: Hagel (R)
Nevada: Ensign (R)
New Hampshire: Gregg (R), Sununu (R)
New Jersey: Menendez (D)

It may be harder to kill this bill than Jason Voorhees, but we can do it.
#1) Pick up the phone and call your home state senators. You can get the numbers and/or email addresses of your home state senators here.
#2) Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee at (202) 675-6000 and let them know that you will not support the reelection of any senator in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.
#3) Call the Republican National Committee at (202) 863-8500 (option 1) and let them know you will not support any candidate in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.
#4) Call, email, or fax Mitch McConnell's office at (202) 224-2541 and tell them that you expect him to resign as Senate Minority Leader if this bill passes.
#5) Call, email, or fax Trent Lott's office at (202) 224-6253 and tell them that you expect him to resign as Minority Whip if this bill passes.
I tried calling my senators again today and have received busy signals or recordings each time I call.
