House Democrats Stand With Murtha

Wow.
They didn't even get to the turning purple part before they gave up.
House Democrats rejected a Republican bid Tuesday to reprimand Rep. John Murtha, a senior lawmaker accused of threatening legislative reprisals against a GOP member who had crossed him.
Before and after the largely party-line vote, which caused some Democrats discomfort, Republicans taunted Democratic leaders about their campaign promises to run a more ethical and open Congress.
And you thought you were doing a good thing when you allowed the Democrats to take over the House and make it more ethical. HA!
I would like to point out the two Democrats who stood up in a room full of hundreds and opposed killing this measure. Kudos to Earl Blumenauer from Oregon and Jim Cooper from Tennessee.
