When Visitors Click Ads From My Sponsors

When I re-arranged things and cleaned up the site yesterday, I contemplated removing the ads in the right side bar or replacing them with another program. I have yet to make one penny from the ads on the right side, but I thought I would give them a bit more time (I figured four months may not be enough time).

Then, this morning, when I checked my email, a regular reader of my site sent me this image, which came up when they attempted to click on a "free child safe kit" ad that appeared.

Well then, I guess I know why I haven't been making anything from them now, huh? Needless to say, the affiliate programs in the right sidebar will be changing sometime today, that's for sure.

James B. Davis, Sr. Dies

James B. Davis Sr., who founded the gospel group the Dixie Hummingbirds, has died. He was 90.

Davis, of Philadelphia, died on April 17, the group said in a statement.

The Dixie Hummingbirds were introduced to a broader audience in 1973, when they collaborated with singer Paul Simon on "Loves Me (Like a Rock)," winning themselves a Grammy for their own rendition. They toured for many years afterward at churches and music festivals.

Davis' survivors include five children, 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

His wife, the former Hortense Eddings, whom he married in 1937, died in 1993.

Rest In Peace, James.

AT&T Waits For Word On Logo

I guess we'll have to wait a few more days to find out whats going to happen…

Jeff Burton's No. 31 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet will bear the familiar Cingular markings for at least two more weeks.

There was no decision Thursday on AT&T's request for an injunction to have its logos placed on Burton's car. Instead, U.S. District court judge Marvin H. Schoob listened to almost four hours of arguments from NASCAR, AT&T and Nextel and then set May 7 as the deadline for briefs to be submitted in the case.

I think this is ridiculous. Cingular was granted an exception by Nextel. Cingular is simply changing their name. They are still the same company. What's the issue here?
