How many suspected murderers have you seen "out on bail"?
Chaz Higgs was freed on bail Monday from the county jail where he has been jailed since September on charges that he killed his wife, former Nevada Controller Kathy Augustine.
Higgs was quickly escorted to a waiting car by five deputies and his attorney.
…
Another of Higgs' lawyers, Alan Baum of Woodland Hills, Calif., had said Higgs' family was putting up property to cover his $250,000 bail.
…
Washoe County District Judge Steven Kosach on March 1 set bail, with provisions that Higgs remain in daily contact with his lawyers and not leave the state. Higgs had been held without bail.
This man was probably the only person in Kathy Augustine's life who had access to succinylcholine, the drug used to kill her. The toxicology report were confirmed and he was arrested. Augustine's former husband, Charles, also died, while under the care of Chaz Higgs.
You tell me… Coincidence? That's very unlikely.
What judge sets bail for murder? At a low $250,000 too?
Chaz Higgs sounds to me, like the Lynn Turner of Nevada. He's going to be convicted of one murder, which pointed prosecutors towards the second.
