So. How Was Your Weekend?

Boy was I busy this weekend.
I had planned to sit back, relax, and search for old people (aka do some genealogy research).
Did it work out that way? Not really.
Late Friday afternoon, my desktop died. I tried replacing the power supply (three different ones) from spare parts I had in the basement. No luck. I finally found one that worked and the machine won't boot. It seems the motherboard is fried as well. Doesn't that just suck. I saw a couple ads for desktop machines on Tiger Direct but I can't afford any of them yet (remember the youngest just had a tooth pulled for $400). If you just happen to be some well-to-do benefactor, or want to be, feel free to help.
Saturday, I was going to relax. Instead, I spent the day re-designing "Tinseltown Trash". TT is a new blog I am taking over and it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I am still not sure what direction I want to take that blog, so if you have any ideas, let me know.
I spent Saturday night catching up on blogs, Twittering, and all having all sorts of online fun. For some reason, I didn't really find it relaxing.
Today, I finally got to spend some time researching relatives. Didn't find any new ones, but my wonderful mother sent me tons of scanned photos (yes, my mom is hip. She knows how to use the internet). It will take me hours to look through all the photos and get them ready for my genealogy book.
I watched the Bristol race (had it on in the background), and wasn't too impressed. Congrats to Kyle Bush, even though he didn't cover his heart during the National Anthem. This week's driver of the week is Ken Schrader (who did cover his heart during the anthem). OH. Honorable mention goes to Delana Harvick who was NOT wearing hat. Way to go girl.
This evening, I finally remembered I had a podcast to get out today. So I spent some time posting that at ISPN Media. It's about energy conservation, if you're interested.
Maybe I'll find time to relax sometime next weekend.

My past two weekends have been beyond hectic and chaotic as well. I've had company from out of town come in both weekends, which I don't mind at all as I love having company. However, both weekends while I'm entertaining company in the house, cleaning up the messes that come along, make big dinners, and try to give my back and leg a break, the husband has been outside working on his car with his friend the entire time. So for 14 days straight I've been in the house with lots of kids and lots of noise. This coming weekend I actually want no company and to just sit on the sofa and do nothing. hehehe. I wish you luck on your computer. One of our computers for the kids is out of commission as well – needs a new power supply too.
Well, off to finish cleaning the house from the weekend mess. *sigh*
