Carol Richards Dies

Singer Carol Richards, who was known for recording "Silver Bells," with Bing Crosby, has died, her family said Friday. She was 84.
Richards died of kidney failure March 16 at the Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach, her husband Edward Swiedler said.
Swiedler said he would like her remembered as "very outgoing, very much loved."

Richards also is survived by numerous children, stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Swiedler said she has been cremated and the family will have a party in her honor in June in Vero Beach. It will be open to the public.
