Fines are a common occurrence in professional sports. People are human. They make mistakes. Sometimes they act before they think, and sometimes they say something they shouldn't. Sometimes they just cheat. No matter the sport, they are all fined.
But where does that money go? In Major League Baseball, the NBA, the NHL, and the NFL, money collected from fines goes to a variety of charities.
