Test Pattern #22: The Electric Al Gore
Posted by Slobokan @ 20:16 · 174 words · print
Last week, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization, issued a press release about Al Gore and his use of energy resources at his mansion in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville.
The Tennessee Center for Policy Research claims Al Gore is a hypocrite because he uses more electricity in one month than an average household in America consumes in one year.
In this podcast I am not going to delve into the whole energy hypocrite argument. Why concentrate on the hypocrisy when you can concentrate on the massive amount of energy being consumed at that mansion. When I looked at the numbers and applied them to common everyday items we use, my mind literally warped.
The theme music for Test Pattern is "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 K211 (Rondeau_ Allegro)" by Shlomo Mintz from the album, "CD1 Mozart – The Violin Concertos". As usual, all of our music is courtesy of Magnatune.
