Barbara Boxer is a bitch. Plain and simple.

Who pays the price? Is she kidding? From Newsbusters:

Rice: “I can never do anything to replace any of the lost men and women in uniform, or the diplomats, some of whom . . . ”

An interrupting Boxer: “Madame Secretary, please, I know you feel terrible about it; that’s not the point. I was making the point about who pays the price for your decisions. Now the issue is who pays the price? Who pays the price? I’m not going to pay a personal price. My kids are too old, and my grandchild is too young. You’re not going to pay a particular price, as I understand, with an immediate family.”

I can’t believe she said that. A statement like that is low, even for someone so close to the gutter like Barbara Boxer. Aside from the personal attack on Secretary Rice, does she actually think that those without family members physically in Iraq won’t pay the price for this war?

She asked, “who pays the price for your decisions”. So, who pays the price?

We all do. Each and every one of us. The decisions made now will affect us our entire lives. They will affect our children, and our children’s children. The decisions made today will shape the future of our country, and the world.

That’s why its imperative that we find a solution to win this war and bring our troops home. The President has proposed a troop surge. The President’s plan may not be perfect, but it’s a plan. In fact, it’s a plan that most Democratic candidates supported just over a month ago. All we heard from Democrats leading up to, and just after, the election was how we needed more troops to finish the job. But now that the President has set that plan in motion, Democrats are bending over backwards to attack it.

In fact, they are spending so much time attacking the plan, the President, and the administration, they haven’t even mentioned a single alternative, other than capitulation and surrender. “Bring our troops home now!” is all we hear. I doubt they could ever come up with another plan. It’s far easier for them to attack the President, the war, and those who show their support, than it is to actually formulate a thought that could actually develop into anything remotely resembling “a plan”.

Believe me, if they were capable of doing so, we would have heard about it by now. They would be very vocal about their “plan”, if they had one. When was the last time a Democrat remained silent other than testifying on the witness stand?

Have there been problems with the war in Iraq? Indeed, there have. You’d be a fool to think otherwise.

Are there questions about the war in Iraq? Certainly, there have been from the start.

Can we win the war in Iraq? Of course we can, but like any war it will take standing together with a united front to show our enemies just what we are capable of.

But, politicians like Barbara Boxer increase the price we must pay each time they show the enemy how truly divided we are.
