2007 is upon us, and it’s time for my annual trip looking back on the year, statistically.

Over the course of 2006, 149,843 unique visitors found my site. This number is down compared to the 233,296 who found it last year.

I had a total of 382,974 visits, 1,478,107 page loads, and 6,311,318 hits throughout the year. You helped me burn 312.92 GB of bandwidth.

Over the course of the years (since July of 1997) I have had 1,120,990 unique visitors, 1,852,105 visits, 6,587,017 page loads, and 29,741,097 hits.

The top 10 referring sites for 2006 were:

    Insignificant Thoughts
    Radio Blogger
    The Soda Stand
    Musing Minds
    Charlotte Wyatt
    Electric Venom
    Real Clear Politics
    Flopping Aces
    Publius Rendezvous
    The Right Track

The top 10 search terms that brought people here in 2006 were:

    free passwords (haha gotcha again!)
warren savage (news anchor turned junkie)
    hamachi service (highly recommended)
mary winkler (charged with killing her husband)
    rotten stuff (gee, thanks)
millie kondracke (may she rest in peace)
dana reeve lung cancer (may she rest in peace)
    beth holloway twitty (natalee’s mom)
    eva bryan (kurt busch’s wife)
honey baked ham recall (that was nasty)

The top three search engines sending traffic my way were Google, Yahoo, then MSN.

The busiest day of the week was Wednesday, and the busiest time of day was 2:00pm EST.

Internet Explorer usage on the site was 63.3. That’s down from 85% last year. Of course, I still recommend Firefox over Internet Explorer, any day.

People came here from all over the world, but the top 10 referring domains (not including .com, .net, .mil, or .edu domains, which always occupy the top 10) were:

    European Union (.eu)
    Australia (.au)
    China (.cn)
    Germany (.de)
    South Korea (.kr)
    Switzerland (.ch)
    Canada (.ca)
    Japan (.jp)
    Netherlands (.nl)
    Great Britain (.gb)

Turkey (.tr) was eliminated from the ranking (they would have been 6th), because of the “friends” I made over there who decided to attack my site off and on for a month.

The top ten individual pages people came to see (excluding the main index and rss feeds) were:

    Running Hamachi As A Service
    Free Passwords
    Vinny Cancels His AOL Account
    Warren Savage Arrested Again
Dana Reeve Diagnosed With Lung Cancer
Beth Holloway Twitty Sums It Up
    Migrating From Wordpress To Drupal
FDA Study Shows Unsafe Benzene Levels In Soda
Art Bell Headed For The Phillipines
Mary Winkler A Suspect In Her Husband’s Death

The top ten category pages were:

    National News
    Obituaries
    Rotten Stuff
    Morons
    Topical Events
    Book Reviews
    Natalee Holloway
    Local Yokel
    Personalized
    Bloggage

I want to thank all of you for stopping by over the years, and let’s make 2007 ten times more fun than 2006!
