Warren Savage Sentenced

A judge has ordered former Atlanta television anchor Warren Savage to undergo drug treatment after he pleaded guilty to drug charges.
Savage, a former anchor for WSB-TV Channel 2, pleaded guilty yesterday in Cumming to possession of cocaine, which could have carried a sentence of up to 15 years in prison. Prosecutors dismissed a more serious charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute as part of the plea agreement.
Forsyth County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Bagley ordered the 42-year-old Savage to undergo at least 18 months of intensive drug treatment.
…
The judge says he will not send Savage to prison as long as he completes a treatment program that at first will require him to go to counseling three days a week and court one day a week.
So that leaves 3 days a week for "other activities". Right? Something tells me this isn't the last time we'll see him on the evening news.
