Gov. Perdue To Sign Immigration Bill

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue planned to sign a sweeping immigration bill into law on Monday, his office announced as supporters of the measure rallied outside the state capitol.

About 200 demonstrators gathered on the capitol steps to support the measure, which they say will just duplicate existing federal law. The law will deny many state services to adults who are in the country illegally and penalize employers who hire illegal immigrants.

Finally. It's great to see Gov. Perdue stand up and do what's right for the state of Georgia.

The counter rally did not come near the gathering of tens of thousands of immigrants who marched through DeKalb County last week to demand recognition for illegal immigrants.

Of course not. The supporters of this measure have jobs, and are working. They do not have time to march in the streets, and why should they? Everyone knows there is no reason to march for a cause that over 95% of the citizens support.

Georgia Governor Does What Co Georgia Governor Does What Congress Won't

Congress better start waking up, because there is a large portion of the American Citizens that are just plain fed up with the inactivity of our Government in protecting our borders.

I totally agree with you.\r\n\r\n I totally agree with you.

It is better that the jobs illegals do get outsourced to Mexico than that they should be done in America by illegals.

Georgia will be much better off without such business.

Government should control who businesses can hire and fire. Just think of how much better off America would be if it was more like France.

If America got rid of the illegals we would have 10 million fewer producers and 20 million fewer consumers. What a boost for the economy in a time of war.
