Margaret Inouye Dies.

Margaret Awamura Inouye, wife of U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, died Monday of complications resulting from colon cancer, the senator said. She was 81.
The wife of Hawaii's senior senator died at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.
"It was a most special blessing to have had Maggie in my life for 58 years," the Democratic senator said in a statement. "She was my inspiration, and all that I have accomplished could not have been done without her at my side. We were a team."

Colon cancer is a horrible ho Colon cancer is a horrible horrible disease and those who fight it off successfully are blessed. My dear, dear father-in-law is one of those people. And I'll tell you it has changed his physical appearance permanently. I remember when I first met him, he wasn't fat, but he was healthy and fit. Now, 8 years after having the majority of his colon removed, and nearly succumbing to the disease, to this day he still is so gaunt and thin that he reminds me of a Holocaust victim. I know he'll never be the same. But we are soo completely thankful that he managed to beat the disease. His cancer has been in remission for 7 years now and we just feel blessed.
I'm sorry to hear about Ms.Inouye's death to the disease. I do hope that she didn't suffer too much for too long. and may her husband find comfort and peace as he grieves the loss of his beloved spouse.
