Does The Punishment Fit The Offense?

March 22nd. 4 races. 28 days from today. $25,000. 1.66% of the money paid to first place.
Knaus has been fined $25,000 and suspended from all NASCAR events until March 22. NASCAR announced the penalties on Tuesday.
As of this post, 160,500+ people have voted on the NASCAR website, and 59% say no, the penalty was not harsh enough.
"It puts me in a bad light and that's not the way we live," Knaus said. "I want people to see us in a proud light. I'm proud of my race team and we have the best driver, the best team and the best sponsors which will only help us as a whole, and I look forward to the rest of the season."
I agree. They have an excellent driver, an excellent team, and excellent sponsors. They just have a small problem with cheating, or as some in the business are calling it, "creative experimentation".
Let's hope Chad Knaus keeps it clean the rest of the season and steps out of the spotlight, so Jimmie Johnson can have a clear and undisputed shot at the championship.

Oh, I agree with you 100% the Oh, I agree with you 100% there.
I think Tony should have suffered some sort of penalty as well, but then again, it is NASCAR (Not Always Seeing Clearly And Responsibly).

I think compared to what Tony I think compared to what Tony Stewart did on the race track he was punished far greater than he should have been. What Tony was doing could have cost somebody their life, and what Chad did, did not involve any other driver.
