Georgia House Passes Voter ID Law Changes

After four hours of debate on Thursday, the state House passed changes to last year's voter ID law.
That law makes you show a state-issued photo ID at the polls on Election Day. The new bill sets up equipment in every county voting office, so voters who don't have photo IDs can get free ones.
Awesome, so now the naysayers and the others who want to boo-hoo about the new law, can no longer use the "we didn't have transportation" or "it cost too much money" arguments. They have to register to vote in the first place, and when they do they can pick up their FREE identification card. Brilliant idea.
Democrats charged Republicans were just trying to paper over a law they say blocks older folks and minorities from voting, without any proof there’s ID fraud at the polls.
Do we wait until the bank has already been robbed before we make it illegal to rob a bank? Do we wait until victims show up at the hospital before we make it illegal to beat the crap out of someone? Do we wait for an accident to happen before we put traffic lights in an intersection… wait. ignore that last one…
In all seriousness. The Democrats have no idea if ID fraud has been occurring because NO ONE has been checking ID's to make sure it didn't happen. Duh… Duh… Duh…
"The only people who seem to have a problem with this are people with a direct impact on the political process now, and who have something to lose. And my question is, why are they so upset over a question that 80 percent of the people favor," said Fund.
The people of the state of Georgia overwhelmingly approve of this law, and its high time the League of Women Voters and the NAACP get their noses out of our business. Then again, I am not sure they have their noses in our business, I never asked for ID.
