Oh, What A Year!
It’s time for the annual look back on the year, from a statistical point of view.
Throughout 2005, 233,269 unique visitors happened across this site, which is a far cry more than the 96,760 who came looking for schtuff in 2004.
I had a total of 371,213 visits, 1,770,828 page loads, and 15,405,550 hits throughout the year, and you helped burn 182.38 GB of bandwidth.
Over the course of the years (since July of 1997) I have had 971,147 unique visitors, 1,469,131 visits, 5,108,910 page loads, and 23,429,779 hits. This means 24% of the total unique visitors, 25% of the total visits, 35% of the total page loads, and 66% of the total hits came in 2005, Wow!
The top 10 referring sites for 2005 were:
Insignificant Thoughts
Capital Region People

Scared Monkeys

The top 10 search terms that brought people here in 2005 were:
nicole dehuff (may she rest in peace)
natalee holloway (we still pray for her safe return)
cnn (again… why?)
free passwords (haha gotcha again!)
jessica lunsford (may she rest in peace)
taylor marie behl (may she rest in peace)
shasta groene (continue to pray for her)
ben fawley (may he rot in hell)
beth holloway twitty (natalee’s mom)
The top three search engines sending traffic my way were MSN, Google then Yahoo.
The busiest day of the week was Tuesday, and the busiest time of day was 3:00pm EST.
Internet Explorer usage on the site was 85%. This number is a bit inflated due to the traffic during Terri Schiavo’s death and the abduction of Jessica Lunsford. Internet Explorer usage was much lower all other months. Of course, I still recommend Firefox over Internet Explorer, any day.
People came here from all over the world, but the top 10 referring domains (not including .com, .net, .mil, or .edu domains, which always occupy the top 10) were:
Australia (.au)
Canada (.ca)
European Union (.eu)
Japan (.jp)
Germany (.de)
Netherlands (.nl)
Great Britain (.gb)
Italy (.it)
Norway (.no)
Mexico (.mx)
I even had two hits from Vatican City. I wonder if they were here to see the Pope Idol page?

This year, the blogosphere lost one of the bravest people who ever walked the earth. Dori Johnson was a unique individual in the blogosphere, and it just won’t be the same without her. We miss you Dori.
I want to thank all of you for stopping by over the years, and let’s make sure we have fun in 2006!
