It appears the police need some help in the Taylor Behl case.
Two mysterious photographs of a peaceful looking pond surrounded by woods are the latest development in the death of college freshman Taylor Behl.
The task force investigating the death of the 17-year-old girl - whose remains were found Oct. 5 in a remote wooded area of Mathews County - wants the public to help investigators locate the pond shown in the photographs.
“We’d like to know where it is,” Les Lauziere, a criminal investigator with the Virginia attorney general’s office, said Monday. He declined to say where the photos were obtained or what significance the wooded pond might have in the case.
But believing that Mathews County is the likeliest location, the task force is asking anyone with information that might help identify the pond’s location to contact Mathews County Crime Solvers at (804) 725-7001.
Anyone providing information that might help lead to an arrest in the case can be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. All callers can remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court. Other agencies on the task force include the Virginia State Police, the FBI, and the Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University police departments.
