Disclaimer: As a Mind & Media reviewer, I received a complimentary copy of the cd from Wrap Music, and have received no further compensation for writing this review.
When Stacy asked if anyone was interested in reviewing a new cd from her husband, Randall K. Harp, I almost didn't request to be included in the group, because my plate was so full (at the time) and I had already requested to be included in many different reviews already.
I am so glad I did not listen to myself.
I received the cd today at 4:30pm and I immediately put it in the cd player. There are six musical pieces on the cd, and each one has it's own distinct style and rhythm.
It's an awesome cd.
We listened to the cd no less than 5 times. The kids kept asking me to play it again and they were mesmerized by each piece. They said the music reminded them of music they have heard in some of their favorite movies, and no, I did not tell them that Mr. Harp writes musical scores for films. They picked up on that all by themselves.
What can I say? I think it's safe to say that Randall is very, very good at what he does, and my kids have a good ear for music.
Stop by Wrap Music and check out Randall's music. I highly recommend it.
