Gunfire erupted Friday morning on the eighth floor of the Fulton County courthouse, leaving a Fulton sheriff’s deputy and possibly a second person wounded.
The victim was rushed for medical treatment to Grady Memorial Hospital although their condition was not immediately available.
Authorities were searching for the suspect, who allegedly tried to carjack two vehicles while trying to get away. The suspect did manage to take a gray Mercury Sable during their getaway effort.
The assailant was described as a tall black male with a bald head.
WSB is now reporting that the judge was Fulton County Judge Rowland Barnes.

Update: [10:40am] FOXNews is reporting that the court reporter and a deputy have also died from their wounds.
