This really sucks… My blog is becoming a great big giant obituary column… I don’t even want to know who the “third” in this series will be. (sigh) Maybe I should create a “Celebrity Obituary” category specifically for this type of entry… We’ll see…
Anyway, I got to see Buddy Hackett on the Las Vegas Strip, years ago, when a person my age (at the time) was not supposed to be where I was, and all I can say, is “What a mouth” haha.
Buddy Hackett, the squat, round, rubbery-faced funnyman who appeared for more than 50 years as a top act in nightclubs, Broadway shows, on television and in such movies as The Music Man, The Love Bug and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, has died, his son confirmed Monday night. He was 79.
“I’ve had a few arguments with people, but I never carry a grudge. You know why? While you’re carrying a grudge, they’re out dancing.” - Buddy Hackett
