A Raving Lunatic.

The recent comments by Democrat Congressman Charles Rangel of New York that the actions against Uday and Qusay Hussein were illegal were dismissed Wednesday by the White House.

On a national television talk show Tuesday, Rangel told host Sean Hannity, “We have a law on the books that the United States should not be assassinating anybody.”

Can you believe the idiocy of that statement? Can you believe the fine people of New York are putting up with his babble?

Rangel was referring to an Executive Order signed by President Ford that prohibits assassination of foreign leaders.

Excuse me? The Bastards of Baghdad were leaders? Just because they served in their fathers government does not make them leaders. Of course, Mr. Rangel has a unique way of spouting diatribe that means absolutely nothing to all intelligent people, worldwide.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said, “I don’t know what exactly he’s referring to. … This is a military operation, and command and control targets are what we will pursue.”

And that is exactly what it is.

Personally, I think they deserved to be blown away. Of course, now we must endure 6 to 8 weeks of DemoWhine, but hell, it’s worth it just knowing those two are no longer a threat.

Day #4

I was going to try and leave first thing tomorrow morning (around 5:30) but alas, I have to go into the office for a couple hours, before I head out.

I am waiting on an email from someone in Spain that will include some software I need to install on a server before I leave. Darn it.

Of course, email is supposed to speed thing up, right? No, not when the person is not in the office to read the thing in the first place.

I need a transporter. Scotty where are you? Damn it. Anyway. I am planning to head out around 10 am, which will put me home around 8 pm if traffic is decent.

Not too bad, I guess. I should miss all of the rush hours (DC, Richmond, Charlotte, Atlanta) too, so that will be kewl. I think.

I am going out for dinner. More later.

The Blogathon Is Coming…

I wanted to participate this year, but since I knew I was going to be on this trip, and never knowing for sure when I would be heading home, I knew I would probably not be available.

So, all of you who have come here, please visit these sites, which I would like you to support for the Blogathon:

A Small Victory - Raising money for Magen David Adom.

anything but ordinary - Raising money for the ALS Association.

Amish Tech Support - Raising money for Magen David Adom.

Come on now. If I was participating in the Blogathon, I would want to help raise money for an ambulance for Magen David Adom AND the ALS Association, so do me a favor by visiting the sites listed above and make sure you sponsor one of them.

If you do so, I will give you a FREE registration key for Operation: Iraqi Poker AND Just the Facts, M’am

Did you hear that? Sponsor one of these fine fellow bloggers and I will GIVE you a FREE registration key for the two new games from The Alligator Pit.

Go.

Now.

Then come back and leave a comment to this post, and I will send you the keys. Easy enough?

What are you still doing here?

GO!

Day #3

Oh sure, what a fine time to be hundreds of miles from home.

They (our outstanding Armed Forces) finally get Saddam’s little weeds, and I am stuck with Crappy News Network in the hotel room.

Thank God for FOXNews.com.

That is all.

Day #2

Another day has passed. Whew. I was a coding maniac today.

After reading my entry from last night I realize that maybe I need to go into more detail on some things.

You see, I work for a wireless communications engineering company. We develop some very awesome hardware, and of course, equally impressive software. Right now, our biggest (hottest) project is our Mobile Digital Video Recorder. Without getting too techie for some of you, this product can be used in ANY situation where you would need video recordings (like police cars, atm service vehicles, etc). We also develop custom vehicle tracking systems, so the two products go hand in hand.

Okay. Enough detail for tonight. haha. Basically though, our company, like many others, has had a tough time as of lately, and we all took a voluntary temporary pay cut, that keeps stretching longer and longer. Some fine people have left our company and as a result of the cuts, and some of us have doubled our workload.

The client portion of the digital video recorder was nearly complete, but needed a few bug fixes as well as several cosmetic changes (per requests from customers and employees). In examining the code (which I did not write), I decided to try and clean it up a bit, and optimize it. That task was so tedious, I decided to rewrite it completely, and two weeks into it I have almost finished.

Friday is the two week mark for this project, and all I have left is beta testing.

(crossing my fingers)

Okay… More on today… We had a meeting with some people today who are interesting in our wireless router solution, as well as our video recorder. I cannot say who they are, but if this gets off the ground, its going to be TOO KEWL.

Good night.

Day #1

Today was a good day.

I spent the day working on our newest and biggest project, which is beginning to come together quite nicely. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have a screen shot of the client end of the software, so you can see what I have been madly working on for the last couple weeks.

Next week I start on the server end. I am planning on 4 weeks for that one, but I think it will actually take 3, once I have all the equipment to test with.

Tonight, I went to Gunnings for their awesome crabcakes. And yes, once again, it was very good.

More tomorrow…

What a day…

The day started off quite nice. I pulled out of the driveway at 8 am on my way to Baltimore. It was nice out so I had the windows open for the first three hours. I was in North Carolina before I actually needed the air conditioning, so I am sure I saved a lot on gas mileage. This was the first trip with the new truck (which only gets 22 mpg, while the Caravan used to get 24). Because of the difference, I was not quite sure when or where I was going to have to stop for gas.

It turns out I went almost 50 miles farther before I needed gas, which was strange considering the facts. I was making great time until I got just north of Richmond, as usual. I hate Richmond. No offense to the great people of Virginia, but everytime I pass through that town it smells, the people drive like maniacs, and traffic backs up for absolutely no reason.

Once I got past the “Richmond gridlock” I made decent time again, and ended up getting to the hotel around 6:30 pm. Ten and a half hours is not bad at all.

I am settled in, and I am crashing. See ya tomorrow, live from Maryland.

She loves me, She loves me not.

A Taiwan man who used a different identity through the Internet to double-date his girlfriend, has committed suicide after the girl fell for his email-based alter ego, a Taiwan newspaper reported on Wednesday.

In his letter to Hsiao Lan, Huang wrote: “Do you remember your Internet friend? That is me. But I never thought our love would have such an ending.” - Sapa-DPA

But who did she mourn?

It was only 8 months?

The committee that puts official dates on U.S. economic expansions and contractions said Thursday that the economy pulled out of recession in November 2001 and since then has been in a recovery phase.

November 2001? I sure am glad we have top notch experts on top of this. Could you imagine if we went a whole two years not knowing we were better off than the Democrats are telling us we are?
