Better take cover. Lili looks like she could really make a mark on the U.S.
Hurricane Lili uprooted trees and destroyed homes in western Cuba with 100 mph winds on Tuesday before entering the Gulf of Mexico and heading on a path threatening the U.S. Gulf Coast.
At 5 p.m. EDT (2100 GMT), the U.S. National Hurricane Center said the center of Lili was located about 55 miles north of Cabo San Antonio on the western tip of Cuba, and about 600 miles southeast of New Orleans, at latitude 22.7 degrees north, longitude 85.0 degrees west.
