Shameful, Shameful.

I don’t know which is worse. (If you are faint at heart, you may not want to click EITHER of these links, nor read the rest of this entry). Today’s news items: Woman gets life for confining child in closet and British hospital loses baby’s body.

I think closet mom got what was coming. Anyone who would abuse their child, once, let alone repeatedly, deserves a lot more than a life sentence, but I won’t go there. The shameful part of it all, is, “Bill and Sabrina Kavanaugh, the girl’s foster parents, are seeking permanent custody. They first tried to adopt her at birth, but had to return her to Atkinson because their attorney made a legal error.”

As far as the second story, well, there is not much to say. It is very sad to see something like that happen. I can only imagine the grief the family is going through. It’s shameful something like this could occur.
